- A cloud AI video studio that runs on your own API key. You connect BytePlus (Seedance 2.0 and 2.5), Google (Veo 3.1, Gemini Omni) or Kling, and the provider bills each render to your key at its list price. The studio itself is a flat €9.99 a month; there are no credits and nothing expires. It is not the cinematography term "long take" — though the name comes from it.
- How much does one take cost?
- A 5-second 720p take on Seedance 2.0 costs about $0.76 in provider tokens, and about $0.35 at 480p. The same take resold by Higgsfield, Runway or SYNTX costs about $1.10 to $1.16 inside their plans. The price is shown on the render button before you spend anything.
- Can I use it for free?
- Yes. Sign in, connect your own key and shoot — no trial period, no card. Without the subscription a project can be worked on for its first 24 hours, then it locks and is deleted a week after it was created; €9.99 a month keeps every project.
- Is Longtake the same as longtake.app or Longtake Studio (longtakestudio.com)?
- No. Longtake lives at longtake.studio only. longtake.app is a different AI video service that sells credits for Sora and Veo, and longtakestudio.com is a web design agency; neither is related to us. If a page talks about paying the model provider directly with your own API key, it is about longtake.studio.
- Can an AI agent run the studio?
- Yes. Longtake ships an MCP server with 13 tools — projects, scenes, characters with locked voices, takes, drafts, cost estimates — so Claude Code or any MCP client can shoot in your studio with a personal token, billed exactly like clicks.
